Using the new hiway B 6 n you can reach most destinations such as the Imperial town of Goslar and the Spa town Bad Harzburg within only a few mintues.

During winter you can easily travel to Schierke in the upper Harz for cross country skiing and Braunlage for downhill skiing. Both have the flair of small woodframe villages with many small shops and restaurants.

The Harz Mountains are beautiful year round and always worth the trip. During periods of bad weather, you can enjoy the new indoor waterpark inside the Hasseröder Ferienpark (Hasseröder vacation park) or you can visit the Rübeländer Tropfsteinhöhlen (Rübeländer caves).
